Surreal Photo Number Two

 

I like this photo because it gives a feeling that this man is not human and that whatever he truly is is forcing its way out. It gives a look at this persons inner monster. and even though he is trying to control it. It will come out regardless. The way the photographer took this picture was he had the man hurdled over in the woods and took that picture. Then he took three photos of three different branches and picked them specifically to what part of the body they were going to attach to. Then to make it symmetrical they just took each of the branches and flipped it and staggered them to make them look unnatural.

The reason I like this photo is because it reminds me of my childhood and spending a day at the park. As a child I used to always swing on the swings. I would try to swing as high as possible and to me it felt like I was going higher than the clouds. The way the photographer made this was by first taking an air shot of a region and taking a photo of a girl swinging on swing set. Then he Photoshopped the little girl on top of the landscape only putting her and the swing in the photo to make it appear as if she is swinging from the top of the world.

A New Perspective

I believe this to be a photo taken from the perspective of a leaf, the photographer achieved this by taken a different angle shot to get the low to the ground feeling. Grouping the photo with the leaves brushed to the side of the road also helped in the feeling that this photo is from a leaves perspective.

This photo is taken from a rats perspective, the different angle shot give the houses the appearance of being huge. The lines of the building make you want to focus up so its like you are a rat running through this dark dirty place searching for a new home to nest in

Favorite Picture Post

I like this photo because the panoramic view makes this road seem like its a fork. Like there is a choice you have to make. The globe could represent the concept that the world is full of choices some we do not always have a choice in. The black and white makes you focus on the texture of the photo instead of the color. It gives a feeling or seriousness and loneliness. As if you have a hard choice ahead but you need to make a choice on how to proceed.
